LIFE IN JOHNS WORLD

Well I am a Happy Camper tonight(literally) Nug and I are out in the Motor home .Granted it is parked in the driveway.But one can dream of being Camped along a lake. My niece and her Husband arrived today.Along with their two Kids,Connor age 6 Hunter age 3.They drove from Texas.We have not seen them in three years.My Sister Trisha(the one that had the hurt leg) couldn't wait to meet her Grandson Hunter and get reacquainted with Connor.My niece Misty with whom I nicknamed her" Nelly" (After Nelly Olsen on Little House on the Prairie) was glad to be back home.She grew up in Grandma &Grandpa's house.She looked around at the changes that Dad had done and the new ones I'm making to the house. She said it doesn't seem the same.She turned toward me and I could see tears in her eyes.This is her first time back Since Grandma passed in 03 and Dad June 29 Th 08.That kind of saddens me that it doesn't feel like Grandpa&Grandmas house any more and mor...

Hello everyone.O.k I want to start off with a small complaint.Today I was at my local LONGS DRUG STORE (Im there three to four times a week.)I do all my developing there for our Church Pictures.I was at the check out counter,all around me.I read signs that said.Holiday gifts here,Holiday CardsHere,Holiday Trees Here. I cant stand the word HOLIDAY now.I know originally it meant Holy day. But not now.They have replaced Merry Christmas with Holiday.Back to my thought.So im a t the check out paying for my items.The clerk hands me my change.I tell her Merry Christmas.There was dead silence.You could hear a pin drop. And then there it was.She said NOTHING. Not a single word back to me.Not even a whisper of Merry Christmas,C'mon people.whats is this world coming to. On thursday.I rode with Elias ( My Pastor) We took some of the youth. To Ceres a small town near Modesto. A Church there puts on a re- inactment of Journey to Bethleham. They really do a nice job.We waited out in the cold 2 1/2 hours. There were so many people. Finanlly it was our turn, They use about 100 acres to recreate the Journey that Joseph&Mary took to Behtleham.We went in groups of 32.Two woman dressed as Bible charaters Sarah &Ruth were our guides..Our first stop was a man dressed in Bible Character ,As he walks out of his tent he explains to us to pass the Jordon river, And to beware of the the Roman Soldiers.So we began walking ..And The Roman soilders appeared on horses and on foot.They yelled at us and asking us where we going,Sarah spoke for our group.She said we are trying to get to Bethleham.The Romans made us stand shoulder to shoulder,One of the Soilders stopped at me. On Friday.We didn't have Church.Because 0f the Thanksgiving Holiday.So I hung out with one of my best friends.Who just happens to be my Pastor.We go waaaay back,over 20 years. This man is awesome. He has been there for me thru thick and thin.(The lost of both parents and three sisters.)Not only has been there for moral support he provided the Church and his services ,(at no cost Just out of friendship.I wasnt planning ON BLOGGING ABOUT A FRIEND. Nothing like Family. I couldnt resist Hello everyone,Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving .Lets see the foods gone,The dogs are content,and the Kids are asleep.Ahhhh Peace&Quiet, (time to call it a night)...Wait wasn't there a chocolate pie left behind.Poor thing. What we didnt realize is how much fun we were going to have. Well we are here at our friend /family Bobbies house. She's the one in the top left wearing black and her sister Ann ,another life long friend/family member. We decided to get together this Thanksgiving,Having not done this in 15 years, Both lost our Father's in the past year,we thought what better way to continue our Parents life long friendships and to honor them by (not getting depressed )making new happy memories,So tonight we are doing a sleepover and reminsing of childhood memorie.Lots of laughter.Thats what our Dads would of wanted. Its 1a.m. the turkeys in the oven and four of us just sneaked into the kitchen and shared a home made apple pie.And more laughing. Im thank God that we can still laugh after all our losses.But thats how our parents raised us .So I say to all of you liv luv and lagh..May You enjoy your day .And to those home alone for what ever reason.Just know you have people thinking of you We here in Bloggerville wish ou a Happy Thanksgiving,and Blessed Day...
